Back from accidental Hiatus!

Oh, hello there!

I guess 5 months is  quite a while to be away….

And what a crazy 5 months it’s been, but I wont get into all of that.

How about a few new things to get beck into the swing of it?

-Yesterday at VONS, while grabbing lunch, I overheard this announcement: “Attention all VONS shoppers, there is a small white poodle loose in the store. If this is your dog, please go get it. Thank you!”

-5 seed almond bars from Trader Joes=delicious

-I’m planning on going to Swaziland, Africa this summer! And I’ll be photographing something very special…More details to come…

-I’m hopefully also shooting a wedding in July! A friend of a friend. Anyone else looking for a photographer?

-I got a new car! Praise God! It’s a long, wonderful story.. if you want to hear it, let me know. If anyone is even reading this anymore. hmmmm.

-I lost a dear friend in december. It’s been really tough. Please pray for her husband and 3 boys. Today would have been their anniversary.

-Getting paid to learn Photoshop was great! Next up: Lightroom! Anyone use LR? Tips?

It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

I think I’m sticking to bullet points for this entry, sound good? good.

*I moved! I’m no longer a live in care giver. It was a challenging process, since I’m friends with the girl I was taking care of. It was a much needed change, and I’m looking forward to this next chapter. Although I’m hoping the internet issues work themselves out soon. Haven’t had internet at home for over a week. No bueno.

*I’m feeling a little creatively frustrated, and stuck in a rut. I want to move forward, to do more, to be challenged. I’m not sure what that looks like yet, but I hope I continue feeling uncomfortable until I do something more.

*I keep thinking more and more about adoption, and how that will work into my future. I’m excited to see the crazy things God does in my life and the kind of family I will some day have!

*So many of my friends, myself included, are in a weird transition of some sort. It’s an odd life stage, everything is sort of just up in the air.

*I went to a totally stunning concert friday night. Iron&Wine and The Swell Season (if you haven’t seen the movie “Once” you must. yes, must!). Outdoor ampitheater, beautiful talent, love it. Both were amazing live. Lovely. And it was so needed. I feel weird when I go too long without some live music.

*Copeland has a new release out next week. SO excited to have that in my hands soon!

*Anberlin has a new one out now, SO excited to have that in my hands when I get paid tomorrow!

*I’ve updated my flickr, feel free to wander over and check it out.

*While moving, I dropped my lap top onto my toe. Ouch. Double Ouch. But both my toe and my computer have both recovered, thank you for your concern.

*Money can be such a stress-pit. But it’s only money, don’t let it drag you too far down.

*After some time off because of the season and the way the company works, I’m back at work full time. Back to being a grown up. Also, while I did accomplish a lot while I was off, I also feel like I wasted a lot of that time. I could have done so much more. Oh well, leason learned.
