Friday night was just what I needed.
The Vedera/The Myriad/Eisley show was almost perfect. Vedera’s tiny little lead singer blew everyone away with her huge, powerful voice. The Myriad once again proved themselves to be a super solid band, they’re just freakin’ awesome. Seriously. Freakin’ Awesome! Like an Awesome blossom without the onion, and with more of the awesome, and musical ability instead of grease. You can see them all over MTV lately, and their videos are on Youtube, and one of them wrote a book, it sounds like a great read, I’ll let you all know once I’m reading it.
Anyways, check both of those bands out, you’ll be glad you did.
Eisley was an interesting experience. I’ve seen them before, and I own all the records, so I know they’re a good group, and I like them. But Friday night was off. I think the sound guys just had all of the levels wrong and everything was just TOO LOUD so it turned into noise instead of music. That and the set was way long. It’s sad though, ’cause like I said, I like ‘em! Hopefully people wont judge them completely on that night. And they brought their “Crister Sisty”, as one of them said after too many skittles, meaning “Sister Christy” up to sing a verse, and that was adorable. I guess she’s the youngest and the only one not (yet?) in the band…so that was cool, she had a nice voice too.
Ok, that should be a good enough chunk of words and links for now! Support those bands, enjoy their great music, and drink some water, it’s darn hot today!
